Registration for the annual event for defense innovators is officially open with exciting updates to the agenda. The 2025 DoD Applied Innovation Workshop will bring together defense innovation stakeholders at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC from December 2-5, 2025, with early bird pricing available through November 25th.

The DoD Applied Innovation Workshop serves as a critical nexus where project teams, implementation partners, industry innovators, and researchers collaborate to develop mission-focused solutions that improve energy and resource resilience, uphold warfighter capabilities, and strengthen the infrastructure needed to fight and win in contested environments. 

Hosted by innovation programs under the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy Resilience & Optimization – SERDP, ESTCP, and OE-I, the 2025 Workshop features an enhanced interactive format with hands-on training sessions, technology demonstrations, networking events, and poster presentations designed to facilitate collaboration and creativity. 

The DoD Applied Innovation Workshop features technical sessions addressing significant defense priorities. Key topics include installation management solutions, the latest approaches to strengthen installation security, and applications of the latest technologies transforming DoD operations.
