Resource Conservation & Resiliency - DoD Topics

ESTCP, Resource Conservation and Resiliency Program Area

Updated January 6, 2022

Closed March 10, 2022

FY 2018-2023
  1. Work With Us
  2. Multiple Solicitations

Objective

Resource conservation and resiliency demonstration and validation efforts should have related to technologies that addressed natural resources, emissions, or resilient infrastructure, as follows:

  • Natural resource efforts should focus on ecological systems; aquatic and marine resources; terrestrial ecology; threatened, endangered, and at-risk species management; and invasive species.
  • Emission efforts should focus on the tools, technologies, and methodologies for the management of dust, fire, and other emissions from training, testing, and other Department of Defense (DoD) activities to include both wildfires and prescribed burns.
  • Resiliency demonstration and validation efforts should focus on advancing tools, technologies, and methodologies for the continuum of infrastructure, both natural and built required by the DoD for the maintenance of capabilities, training, and testing of new systems.

In FY23, ESTCP issued five topic areas for the Resource Conservation and Resiliency program area through a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to the private sector as well as one topic area of general interest:

  • Time-series and New Site Updates to the Defense Regional Sea Level (DRSL) Database
  • Improved Wildland Fire Management Tools for Improved testing and Training Land Utilization
  • Biological Control of Non-indigenous Invasive Species Affecting Military Testing and Training Activities
  • Analyzing the Impacts of Weather Events on DoD Installations
  • Improving Climate Resilience of DoD Installation and Surrounding Community Infrastructure
  • Innovative Technology Transfer Approaches

Investigators were encouraged to submit proposals through the DoD submittal process that respond to these BAA topic areas. These topics represent areas of particular interest to ESTCP.

Funded projects will appear below as project overviews are posted to the website.
