Demonstrations are sought for resource conservation and resilience demonstrations that relate to technologies that address natural resources monitoring, or resilient natural infrastructure, as follows:

  • Natural resource efforts should focus on advanced and emerging monitoring methods and remote sensing technologies on DoD lands to improve the efficiency, scale, and accuracy of population and habitat assessments for threatened, endangered and at-risk species, ecosystem health, resilience and trends monitoring, assessing fire risk and documenting fire effects, watershed health assessments, invasive species detection, species migrations, and carbon sequestration estimates.
  • Ecosystem resilience demonstration and validation efforts should focus on advancing tools, technologies, and methodologies for natural infrastructure required by the DoD for the maintenance of capabilities, training, and testing.

For FY26, ESTCP has issued two topic areas for the Resource Conservation and Resilience program area through a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to the private sector as well as one topic area of general interest:

Investigators are encouraged to submit proposals through the DoD submittal process that respond to these BAA topic areas. These topics represent areas of particular interest to ESTCP.
